Cheapest bumper/ winch mount?

Last summer I thought I had found a bumper & winch together for $700... this summer I can't find it to save my life. Can't afford a super duper badazz bumper, just need to get a winch, and want to keep it as cheap as possible. Don't like the idea of just a plate for numerous reasons... but that might need to be the way I go.

Any suggestions?

Could build your own ill give you my dimensions and if you go with 1/4" steel you can incorporate a winch into as well

well... as much fun as it would be to show off my amazing pigeon SH** style of welding...

I've got zero metal skills. I run a steel framing, steel truss/ drywall company... and I don't work with metal at all. (well... I can pin it to the floor & screw it together... that's about it.)

I'm just looking to buy one cheap.

The thor style is by FAR my favorite, but I just can't justify $1200+ for a bumper right now. (with winch)

I had seen one last year WITH a smittybuilt 8k for $699 or $799... but can't remember where it was! Maybe it was some special on the DOI bumper, not sure.

hard to tell, but is the CBphoto just the shelf, or does it include the brushguard as well?

That one for $350 would be hard to complain about, wonder what shipping would run for that thing.

We've got a bunch of friends in Charlotte, if seller won't ship, I'm sure I could get one of them to go grab it & box it for us.

The CBPhoto unit is just the mount, no brush guard.

The Steel Craft mount includes a brush guard. Hunner has the Steel Craft one and I'm sure he would be willing to give you his input on the mount (along with some pics).

For many winch mounts I do think Brodie's idea of strengthening plates is a very good idea and should be incorporated unless the manufacturer has already performed other work (THORparts, for example) rendering the plates superfluous.
