Does anybody have any suggestions on an aftermarket louder more beefier horn??

Check the Wolo "Bad Boy" horn for around $40. You can mount it on the same bracket with the OEM horn and get away with keeping the factory relay and fuse. I put one on my 06; much louder than the OEM horn. Pep Boys, A-Z, HF carry it. If I were really into horns, I'd look for some old Caddie horns from the 70s. Almost as good as air horns.

I posted and did this mod a long time ago on both my H3's. I was able to grab a set of 2014 Nissan Frontier Dual horns for nothing, and it was PNP. Wiring connection was the same, and I just mounted it em in a slightly different spot to allow for the dual horns. Took me maybe 15min to install.

On my wife's H3 I used some dual horn I grabbed off a Trailblazer, and I just spliced the different pigtail onto the H3.

Either setup worked awesome and it was MUCH MUCH louder vs the pathetic stock setup on our H3's!

The stock horn on my '09 H3T is much louder than the one on my old '06 H3. GM must have changed the horn used at same point.

Both my 07/08 Horns were anything but horns... The Nissan Frontier setup was great, and the trailblazer setup for 10.00 at pick n pull was great just make sure to get the pigtail connection.

My 06 has a much louder sound over the 09 (the 09 is too low/less aggress)
