Okay I need some help. Should I go with a 4" or 6" lift. I plan to put 38" tires on her, but don't know whether I should go bigger or not. Sometimes bigger isn't always better.

Sweet lookin rig.
The 4" rancho and the 6" fabtech is the same height of lift on the H2.
I have seen some guys run 38x13.50s on a 1.5" rear coil spring lift and gm green keys for the torsion bars with rubbing only at full turn.
It all depends on the actual tire size and the back spacing on the wheels on how much lift you will need.
If you wheel hard and would like to get the most flex from the rear axle then I would do a lift.
I run a fabtech lift on my rig with 37s and I would like to upgrade to 39s in the future so I am glad I put the lift on my rig.

Quality I think is good.
I have put about 30K miles on the H2 since installed and I have never had a problem with it. It has been wheeled fairly hard and I have bent the front cross member lower a-arm mount on a rock and I have never fixed it and the tire wear still seems to be good logging about 6K miles since incident.
The only thing I have noticed is the finish is flaking off the dirtlogic shocks but that is probably because I never really clean the mud off of them when I finished wheeling.

You might end up needing spacers if you only go the 4 inch lift, otherwise, the front tires will hit the inner wheel well when you fully turn the steering wheel, and if height doesn't bother you, in other words getting in and out of the truck can be a pain, if you use it also as an everyday vehicle, then go for the higher lift, because at least you have both the clearance for the turns, no also for larger tires, if you ever choice to go larger after then the 38" in the future

Cranked gm green keys, installed 2" rear spacers, 1" bodylift and stuffed 38" MT tires with only minimal rubbing in the front at full lock.

Yeah if 37's fit on some stock trucks there should be no reason a small key/spacer lift wouldn't fit 38's. I thought the 6" kits claim to fit 40's?

The 4" rancho and the 6" fabtech lift both can fit 40s with proper backspacing on wheels.

Personally, I prefer the smallest lift that will work for the desired tire size but it really depends on what you're after. Deep water/mud or need that extra break over/approach/departure angles - lift it more. Off camber stuff where you go - minimum lift for tire size. I'm not a fan of the tippy off camber stuff, the axles will always be the lowest part, and my H2 (or whatever Jeep/truck/SUV I have at the time) is my DD so my preference is always to pick the tire size then do the minimum lift needed. That's actually what got me to Hummers, I can get the tire size I want with no lift.
