The reason for this post is to show my respect to the maker of my brush guard (Predator Inc.) for keeping me and my GF unscratched from this accident. My truck took some minor damage on the front driver side but compared to the other guy's car I was pretty impressed. The H3's weakness is its front crash test so I slapped this steel brush guard on a few months ago and it did its job. The driver of the Honda is fine as I hit his passenger side and he had no company with him.
Cause: The Honda switched into my lane without seeing me and this was the result, so be careful out there guys.
Damage: Grille is cracked and brackets broke off. The blinker light on the front side is loose and is pushed in. The side blinker is cracked as the plastic cover absorbed most of the damage. The brush guard is crooked and hopefully easily fixed. The hood does not align with the grille or drive side fender. Headlight cracked.
Not sure what kind of response I'm looking to get out of you guys but I thought as an H3 owner you would like to see some photos of the wreck and how it held up.
The HUMMER was strong! The Police and tow truck driver (for the Honda obviously) were impressed and kept complimenting its durability.
Anybody had any wrecks in their Hummers lately or any photos to share?
I attached photos of the Honda at the scene and my H3's damage.
