Well the time has finally come. Those who know me know I've been saying this for two years or more, but now its for real. The H3 is up for sale.

You all know the standard specs. Here's what I've done with it.

Sway-A-Way HD torsion bars, Bilstein shocks, American Eagle Alloy wheels (16x8, 4.625" BS), 35" BFG KM2s w/ good tread still (Toyo spare), Tough Country winch bumper, torsion lift in front, extended shackles in back (Warrior 1.25"), Yellow top Optima (still has 2+ yr warranty). Sirius tuner added to Monsoon 6-disc.

Oh yeah, and I had a cast iron front diff swapped in. :)

~92K miles, one-owner, never smoked in (I made Bebe hang out the window ). It's been all over Moab, the Rubicon, and "half" of Fordyce, so its got some beauty marks. But overall in good condition.

Price on Autotrader is $14,300/obo. Likely to negotiate more favorably with forum members.

I hate to hear it Sewie I have heard too many stories about you and was hoping to wheel with you someday. Good luck with it and that is a good price.

A piece of Black Sheep lore goes up for sale . . .

I'll one up you on history - it's a piece of Hummer H3 history - no one wheeled as much as Sewie and I in the early years. WE were a team. He was one of the first to get the CI diff (I think Neo was first) and pushed the limits of the H3 on every Nor Cal Trail.

I've missed my wheeling buddy - and am sad to see this H3 go. Who knows where it will end up. Good luck on the sale - you should post it on PBB too if you haven't already. It's and RTG wheeler.

I R a sad Bebe :be7:

I couldn't remember - I know it was done at Hummer of Sac in 10/07, and I know that he and I both argued like hell to get it done. Between he the customer and me the Queen of Sac Hummer - it got done. I remember a few "That's Bull Sheet" Phone calls with Hummer of Sacramento. Especially when they tried to charge him 5K for the swap.

I also remember they only had one loaner, so I let him have it since I was local.:)

Well I am looking to add another vehicle right now and this would be great to have alongside my H2, my question is the same as above have you had any head issues with it, or has it been replaced, and knowing that it has been wheeled how are the tierods, and all the other steering components and stuff? Thanks for any info you have

Thanks for all the kind words. Definitely some mixed emotions, which is why I dragged my feet so long putting it up for sale. But it's time to move on.

Nope. Lots of other stuff, but never had that problem.

The diff replacement even shows up on Carfax. :) IIRC, the loaner was yellow. Should've let you have it.

The adventure has the rear locker, correct? My bro has been telling me every time he goes out with me that he wants one, so I'm telling him about yours. My guess is he doesn't have the cash since he's getting married next summer, but I think his fiance wants one even more than he does.

Never had any head issues. I haven't wheeled the truck in probably two years. All ball joints and tie-rods (16mm) have been replaced at some point. The steering rack was replaced last time I was in Moab (2008?) and no hard wheeling on it after that. The only thing in the front end that I know needs replacing are the sway bar links. I have one new one I'll throw in. And I have most of the OEM takeoffs for stuff I upgraded that will all be thrown in (torsion bars, bumper, brushguard, wheels).

It would be right at home in Utah.

Yep, rear locker. 4:1 t-case, 4.56 gears. With the cast iron front its ready for a front locker too. ;)

Bummer, but as I kinda expected, his response . . . "Well F***!! I have a wedding and honeymoon to pay for"

Good luck with the sale!

I can relate. Except throw in a baby. Which is partly why it hasn't been wheeled in 2+ years.

LOL....any bites yet?

Not really. One nibble here. Starting to get some views on AT ad. I still need to post it up on some other forums - I wonder if my account on Ebola still works. :)

Trying to avoid the Craigslist crazies for now. :whaa:
