Hi well known member ,where did it come apart - was it the spring housing ,retaining bolt or the spring blade itself - had a look at mine and the curve that is there before the spring eye seems like it could be a weak point -effectively only one blade hold the whole thing in -

Hi ,thank you for the reminder - have heard of similar stories , not as bad as the nissan navara folding unto itself but serious nonetheless- is it a original manufacturing issue ,or a rust one?- same here have had various vehicle with leaf springs and no problems ,glad it happened when it did...

Thank you for reply ,and great tip - previous owner has been driving it as is and it just looks wrong besides quite concerned about undue stress on bearing- will do as soon as - stay well.

Hi Recently bought a hummer h3 2007 with the half shafts and front differential removed ,hence it is a 4X2 ,,question is of a safety nature - I believe the front wheel bearings due to their design are factory pre loaded - are there any safety issues to attend to ,such as sourcing half shafts...
