This is a stocker H3/3T friendly trail run to benefit the Susan G. Komen foundation for the cure(breast cancer). The fee is $10 per vehicle. The meeting spot is the old Food Lion parking lot (they call it old because the store is now closed) at 924 West Market Street in Harrisonburg, Va. They will be leaving the parking lot at 10AM so if you are planning to attend please get there early with a full tank of gas and something to eat for lunch. I am new to their club but they are Hummer friendly and seem to be a great local group of off roaders. If you are thinking about attending please check out this link to the event http://www.virginiakrawlers.com/showthread.php?t=4175 You don't have to pre-register but it may help them plan if you post up and let them know. Also don't worry about being the lone Hummer out there, I will be there with my T and another guy from their club will be there with his H3. I'm not sure if I will camp or drive back after the run but I will bring the gear along just in case I'm having too much fun to leave or it gets late. This should be a fun trail ride for a good cause and a great opportunity to see some VA fall foliage!

Also just to add for those who want to test themselves and/or smash or drown their rig there may be a few tougher trail options...type "flagpole knob" or "flagpole trail" into youtube for some ideas of whats there.

That's awesome! I look forward to meeting you. I'll PM you my phone number, don't hesitate to ask if you need anything. Also, get there well before ten if you can, this gives them a chance to have a driver meeting and arrange smaller trail groups if necessary. See you there!!

We had a great time today for a good cause! There were over 100 Jeeps/Trucks that turned out and I believe we raised several thousand dollars. Great meeting you Rich and hanging out with a possible new H4O member and his son! We didn't really get a chance to put the 3's through their paces, but we had terrific weather and scenery. Short video to follow.

Anytime you can raise money for a good cause is a good day. I am thinking of setting up a Toys for Tots gathering in Michigan in Early December.. Cant wait to see the video..

Adam thanks for posting up the pics and nice meeting you! I had a great time and am excited to have found a whole new trail system to explore! The very large turn out of easily over one hundred rigs made for a great charity run but the large groups of vehicles with different capabilities made it difficult for us/them to figure out which trails we should hit. I am going to try and get back out there soon and explore a little more to see if I can find some tougher options for an H4O run(they are definitely out there). The Virginia Crawlers preliminary estimate shows the "bounce the boobies" run collected over $3000 dollars for the Susan G. Komen foundation for the cure! That's pretty amazing! I have a few pics and vid's I will try to make them into a short video and will post it up soon. Thanks again for coming down and if you ever want to give it another shot just let me know.

Great job guys! Always good to help out a great cause, get outdoors & make some new friends. Looks like a great all-around day to me! Thank you for representing us (H4O) well!

Rich, did you happen to have and give an H4O sticker to the potential new member?

Glad you got out there, had some fun and raised some money. Great that you found a new place to wheel.

Sure did, gave him both styles-they look great on the back of his H3! He and his son were great company and would definitely be an asset to H4O and especially the VA chapter. I hope to see them here soon.

Here's the video. Like I said, no extreme trails yesterday, but great scenery. Just a little of what to expect in GWNF.

This video features Choose Your Tunes[SUP]TM[/SUP] technology (aka no music). Don't forget to watch in HD!

Ah ha, finally checking in after a day of internet probs. Had a great time yesterday...better when it was just us Hummers exploring and poking around at some potential off shoot trails in GWNF instead of the 100+ rigs that showed up for the charity trail ride. Again, great meeting supersapper and absntmnded. Looking forward to seeing you guys on the trails soon.

Didn't have many pics/vids to work with and they were mostly taken by sticking my camera out the sunroof, but this is what I could salvage without giving everyone motion sickness:giggle:.
