Exactly what I planned, was basically going to walk into a fastenal with the bolt list and say...I need this lol. Going to modify the cross-member to make steering rack repairs easier.
Is the rear lower control arm busing the same as the factory one?
Not sure about that one.

Spent the last few nights after work removing all the fenders and grill. Going to get sprayed with Line-X Ultra tomorrow.

I believe he is referring to this notching...in order to be able to replace the steering rack without having to drop the Rancho brackets. I believe Chris did it to his original Rancho kit.

I didn't want to say anything until it was officially in my possession but im too excited. So barring any hiccups, I am the new owner of a used rancho lift kit. Only bought the front from the seller, didn't need the leaf springs as ill be doing a spring over in the rear (and they only add to the shipping costs). Its missing some pieces like bolts and some bushings, but the big parts are there. I'm going to have it cleaned up and re-coated while i collect parts. Wasn't really the order i wanted to do things in, but the deal was there and I had to pounce before someone else snagged the kit.

good call on doing that mod.... If your doing all that prep work might as well clearance the kit for the steering rack bolt that the kit covers up now or else you will regret it some day

I was referring to the LCA bushing but this is a must do mod among several other.

Are the fenders easy to remove and install ?

Yes, but take your time and remove each wheel first and use auto trim tools to avoid breaking plastic body parts. Took me 2 hours total. But order the plastic clips/tabs and push pin retainers before you start.

Yup, notching the crossmember is one mod I'll be doing for sure.

I kind of figured somewhere around 5k, if it's 30 then i'll get a different hobby. :)

Ahhh the famous old question, the answer is it depends! Are you doing the work? Or is a shop? Dana 44? Dans 60? Coil springs? Leafs? A built locked axle or an open axle? The answer is it can done for less then 5k doing it yourself buying an already built Dana 44 or you can spend 30k it all depends

Last week I got high centered on a rocky climb and developed a vibration. I had suspicion it was the front driveline but there was no visible damage to it. I pulled it off anyways and sure enough, vibration gone. I ordered parts to rebuild the driveline but for now I’m stuck in silly 2 wheel drive

Do you have skid plates? or Under Body Protection? Makes a huge difference.

After calling up the owner there at Rocky Road and having a chat about the fiasco with my order a few months ago I re placed the order with them and they shipped them in twelve days. Here's to hoping they take customer service seriously and I don't get two pass sides or some such :)

Haha I ordered some skid plates from your website two days before that happened. In this particular situation, they wouldn’t have done much to help anyways.

The rock reached between the leaf mount and crossmember not allowing me to move forward or backward.

The HUMMER was tippy-toeing on three wheels and we needed a tow. Me and my brother had a fun hike that day.

I feel your pain. Ordered mine around December of last year and they said they would be here in 2 to 4 weeks. It actually took 7...

Replaced my battery with a AMG group 34, It's been s friggin cold here My old battery froze. I have not modified the battery box yet as I said it's to friggin cold -3 degrees right now. I dont drive it every day so a rubber bungee will have to hold it in place until it gets in the 20's at least.

Wait please tell me your truck wouldn't turn due to the battery freezing.. Mines been cranking but won't turn so I keep having to jump it with my portable jumper and then it's fine for a few hours and will turn whenever it's warm, repeat process next morning.
been scratching my head on what it could be and I'm certain it's because it's so damn cold but my dad thinks it's bc of something draining the battery overnight [emoji23]

Just got my H3 back from having the trans rebuilt and upgraded along with 2 new motor mounts. It now goes forward again and that unknown rattle is GONE. My mystery rattle was caused by my broken motor mount. Well Merry Christmas to me . Now comes the long overdue trans cooler.

A little Christmas present for the H3. Line-X Ultra sprayed on the fenders and grill. Really prefer the Ultra over the Premium, smoother texture and thinner coat. New black KMC XD rims and Cooper Discoverer STT Pro.
