Went for an alignment only to be told me 10K miles DORMAN UCA are shoy due to worn ball joints.
Those 10K were strictly street driven with worn out stock 32" tires.

Thought I'd let ppl know

Same here I barely made 7,000 miles on my stock alpha with the doorman uca. I tried Moog this time guess we will see soon.

I got about 3k miles but a lot of trails out of the Doorman's luckily I complained long enough with amazon to get a replacement. When this goes bad I'll try the Moog or AC Delco.

I bought those a year ago to "prepare" for the time to replace them.

Didnt no I will need replacements for those replacements that soon. Stock ones lasted a good 80K with offroading

Really sad; Dorman used to be a pretty good quality alternative to expensive OEM parts. I've used them in the past on a number of vehicles over the years. But more and more, I see reports of their quality going downhill.

Decided I don't like the windshield light bar or the Gobi fairing. Going to the storage shed and dig out a set of the roof mount off road lights to modify.

Installed the linexed mirrors, and leveled her. Letting it settle for a few days before I get an alignment and put the extended bumpstops in

So in an effort to locate some rattles when I go over bumps (which i now think might be dirty body mounts) I tightened down the bolts holding the roof track on the roof. Well I stripped one rivnut on the passenger rear and possibly one on the drivers side. If anyone has any suggestions for how to repair rivnuts, I am all ears.

Roof bolts are a pain because they strip too easily. I repaired and upgraded all of mine. First grind off the heads of the stripped bolts so the rack can be taken off. Remove all the black plastic starting at the front, this is easy and a good time to paint with Rustoleum black bed liner. Grind out remaining rivnuts replace with new 1/4-20 weld nuts. Few other things to do but that's the short story. PM me and I'll send you some pics.

Cut the old one off so it falls down if you cant reach it then either jb weld or tack weld the new ones in place. Rivnuts are how engineers display their sense of humor.

Thanks for the replies guys. Yea I haven't messed with it any more, but it has been moved up on my to do list and is something that will need to be done before I remount the gobi rack. From the sound of it, it seems like a relatively straightforward job just tedious to make sure its done right.

They look great! Congrats.
We’d like to see what they look like mounted, these are the only aftermarket wheels I’d like to see on my truck.

Are you running 35s and a daystar lift?
At 8” thick, would be interesting to see what sort of sidewall bulge the 35s have.

Whats the offset on these? Rubbing? Let us know when they’re up.
Cheers

Wheels should be in tomorrow. I'm going to shop around and order 5 brand new Tpms sensors to try and get the warning off the dash.

I currently have 315-75 ko2s on stock rims.

These wheels are 0 offset. I am stock suspension with just a torsion level.

I've been looking to get a new set of sensors as well since I've had the SERV TPM light on and off seemingly at random and now permanently because of a 5 tire rotation and no sensor in the spare. I can deal with the light for now. I'd be interested to know which ones you get and how they worked out for you.

I'm guessing below is the OE replacement? Would be around $250 for all 5 of them.

Just for info, I replaced my tpms at Costco a few years back for pretty cheap...
