Here's a picture for your viewing pleasure.

Factory 18's with 285/65/18 firestones... < these are what came on my 07 Hummer luxury edition

I found a set of Factory 16's had to drive 4 hour round trip to pick them up , but I got all 5 with center caps, and my tire choice BFG's ( BF goodrich all terrain KO2 ) 265/75/16 .

Why if i may ask? Yours looks great as is

Well I am building my rig for function over form, the 16" rims will provide a bunch of benefits over the looks of the 20's

Smoother ride
Protects the rim better
More traction
Less risk of loosing a bead when aired down
Ect

Not to mention the fact that I am going to 16" double beadlock rims which has even more benefits over the OEM 16" rims

I'll be selling the 20's soon if anyone wants them! I'll give ya a hell of a deal

I just went the same direction with my winter wheels and tires. Summer footwear are 285r60x18s on the chrome wheels that came with the H3T, and winter tires are 235r85x16s that I put on the black powdercoat rims that I found. I like the look and feel of the latter.

It's funny how styles change in such a short period! 5 years ago everyone needed big bling rims.... Now it's black rims lol..... I wonder what's next??

I do like your winter setup a lot more then the summer set :p

After I've run the tread off the 18" rims next summer, I'll probably sell those rims and pick up another set of 16" rims. I much prefer the tire options available in 16" (and the cost difference between the 2 tires sizes is significant).

Just thought I'd tell my experience. I drove our first H3 on 16s for 7 seven years. The lurching & wallowing from the big soft sidewalls on 16s when changing lanes and over bumps on the freeway were always a big negative for me. I bought an H3T last summer that had 20s. When I made the trip to pick it up, I had planned to replace the 20s with 35s on OEM 16s. But on the 600 mile drive home on the 20s, the T was rock solid with much better stability at interstate speeds from far less sidewall flex and more tread width. The Toyo Open Country II's (305/55R/20) are enough trail tire for me on our forest service roads and dry trails, and I absolutely love the way the truck handles better for the other 99% of my driving.

I agree with you, for me it wasn't a looks problem I loved the way my truck looked with 20s and 35s. But the width was killing my flex and my front end. Parts I didn't want to be replacing while trying to save for another project so I put the factory wheels back on.
