SnugTop's factory is about 10 miles from my work and I have a good dealer that is about 3 miles away. I've never driven over to the factory, but I know my dealer has. I can see if I can get a lock or a key. PM me your key code and I'll try.

Thanks man!! that would be great!!

So in the midst of figuring out how I could add an actuator to the snugtop to lock and unlock with the rest of the doors to the cab of the T..... I managed to lock the snugtop closed... Fml what a dumb move... Guess I need to take it to a lock smith now... Eff lol

You can add actuator, I had mine mounted to work truck bed cover when I installed it years ago. It unlocks with driver door and locks back if driver door is not open. Very convenient, you can get tools out of the bed and don't have to worry about locking truck when you leave.

On truck bed shell/cover I am thinking installing shell. This way I can do bed rack to mount roof tent on top of it.
slant back looks cool but not practical in this application. Maybe shell with side doors to get stuff from front of the bed and slider to make it easier.

I agree, the slant back has made life difficult a few times already for me.... having to tow a trailer when something would have fit under the canopy of a regular shape lol

I have a client that builds "custom truck bodies" and ships them all over the world, I was bugging them last time I was out that I was going to get them to make me a custom box cover that gives me access doors from the sides into the box and a way to have the RTT mounted to match the cab height... best part is it would be all aluminum!

But at this point I'm still dreaming!

Here are some pics of how another guy added an actuator to his SnugTop:

Custom shell, I think regular Snag top with rounded rear may work just fine. I have seen some racks that can lift up( may need co custom install gas shocks to lift). So u can lower it when u drive and lift to access bed.

My problem is:
#1 ARB fridges, I have 50 and 86, they about 3-5" taller( with sliders) that truck bed sides.
#2 I want to reach front of the bed easily.
#3 Needs to be secure
#4 Need to install rack for Roof rack or tent.

So i was thinking doing the shell, Split it in half. Bottom will have a slider with fridges at the tailgate and storage space in front( fridges needs to be easily accessible).
Top will be accessible from rear and both sides, so if you open roof tent it still accessible. Roof rack will be attached to roof of shell and have 4 posts (ladders) in each corner attached to rock sliders/frame and bumper/frame at the rear.(nothing touches shell/track bed seal).

ok, I agree, go with the softtop - no risk of locking yourself out
