I've replaced them on both of my H3s with Amazon bushings sold by Newyall. I was able to hammer out the old bushing but had to press in the new one on both H3s. I can't comment on quality but it's definitely better than the ragged things they replaced.

If you're willing to keep the stock bumper, I installed the steelcraft brushguard with built in winchmount (Steelcraft 50280WM) that I purchased on Amazon for a little over $500. I like the idea of being able to access the winch easily in case I need to check electrical connections or the rope...

Thanks for the info. Would that be inlet and outlet to the radiator or engine?

That's what I've always thought also. But the thermostat is on the bottom hose, which would be the return line, which doesn't make sense.

I purchased a body mount bracket from Summit Racing for $100. Here's a picture of the rot behind the old bracket.

After reading these posts I see I'm not the only one with significant frame rust. I'm taking mine to a welder to have the repairs done but we're looking for the front left body mount bracket since that rusted out also. Does anyone know where I can get replacement body mount brackets?

Hummedout, I'd check the shifter cable and linkage that attaches to the shift lever on the side of the transmission. If that got bent or moved during all the work under the vehicle or if the nylon insert that pops onto the shift lever is worn out, it might not be fully going into gear in the...

I saw a beefed up suburban that had them completely removed and replaced with square tubing welded to the frame to act as rock sliders. I might try that with mine since they're pretty rotted out too. Just a thought for now.

I got the CV shaft out of the coupler with a little hammering from the inside on the end of the shaft. The c clip was really hanging on. I can't find anything wrong with any part. All seem to be in good shape. Clean oil, no shavings or chunks of metal anywhere. With intermediate shaft removed...

Update.....front dif is fine, intermediate shaft is fine with no metal pieces in the shaft housing. CV shaft is stuck in the coupler (I think that's what its called). See picture. So I'm thinking the problem lies in the coupler or the carquest(not AC Delco) CV shaft. It was about 3/16 shorter...
