I rode home from the hospital today After a 4 Day stay from Back surgery #2. I told the wife to leave the caddy at home and pick me up in my hummer H3, and it rode great on these Michigan rds. I did not yell at her at all. I LOVE MY H3. Oh and the wife to.
I have been in a steady #4 to #6 pain the last 3 or so years and unable to do much of anything. The doctor said my hardware in my back was broken and the disc was moving and had been like like that for some time. excuse any bad typing im on a lot of meds.
glad to be home and walking

I'm sorry to hear about your back problem. I hope you went to a reputable chiropractor before surgery. They can work miracles if you get a good one. Especially for pain relief.

Changed a failed propeller shaft CV joint yesterday and changed all the fluids. It seems I've been hearing this CV joint for a LONG time but it just finally failed. What a terrifying noise. I thought for sure I was going to be replacing the transfer case. I've heard a buzz forever that I always assume was one of the front CV's but it was obviously this one. By the looks of it there had been no grease on the shaft for a while as it was all rusty. The snap-ring ends both snapped off when I went to open them so I had to pull everything off but the inner part of the cage and then beat the inner part off with a hammer. Overall not a terrible job.

Big thanks to 4SpeedFunk for the PM and Reloader as well as some others I am forgetting for the previous posts I used as a guide.

I'm at 228K on my 06. Had to have the transmission rebuilt at around 205K, otherwise I've been lucky.

Make sure you have cleaned out drain lines if you have a sunroof. I have cleaned out a few now from guys that lift there's so much it is completely level and even little crap will make it stop draining enough to leak inside.

I will be interested to hear your thoughts on the upper control arms once they are installed!

Spent some time in the Watkins Glen area this weekend with my wife. Nothing too off-roady, but lots of mud.

Mud is like a mild addiction, its easy to quit regularly...

But not painful enough for an intervention.

How much were the upper control arms?

I think they are $595 a pair right?
Yes they were just under $600 shipped. They will be going on here shortly in the next couple of weeks provided everything goes as planned.

EBC sent the wrong front rotor so I have to wait for that and the front axle spindle nut to arrive still.

In that case nevermind! I use mine to check roof clearances in parking lots as it reaches 1" higher than my roof light bar

Well, I had to repair my factory front driveshaft and put it on to replace my Tatton driveshaft. I don't think it lasted 15k before it failed.

When I removed the transfer case skid place, it was gunked up with a bunch of grease and rod bearings.

Where'd you find one that fit I've bought and returned two that wouldn't work

Why not cut your stock antenna to the size you want? That's what I did with mine. i found a little rubber cap that fit the cut end and it looks like it was meant to be that way.
