Help! new to the form, I just got a 06 h3
I get a humming metal noise after I let go of the gas above 35 mph I already took part the transfer-case apart and replaced transmission , chain, fork and filter check bearings,
I’ve check rear axle, I haven’t check the front yet I have raised the truck up on a lift and ran it but no noise
It look like it only happens on the road I’ve accelerate it stop or applied little power it stops but once i let go of the petal /gas above 35 or higher, just hear a loud humming metal noise like a metal bee buzzing what can it be ??

If you've already gotten to the point of tearing the transfer case apart, I assume you've already checked the simple stuff. If not though, check all the heat shields on the exhaust as well as the U Joints. I've had similar noises from both of those. Good luck!

Not a metallic noise, like a heat shield vibrating? That's a common issue with the exhaust manifold. How about the motor, front diff and transmission mounts - are they in good shape? If worn out, could be forcing something out of place and causing that noise, from front diff resting on the crossmember to exhaust on the frame or body, etc. Diffs are certainly a possible option as Rascole said.

I found one heat shield on top of the torsion bars near the exhaust that was loose but same noise
But this sounds like a bike once you let the chain sling in reverse

Miles on the truck is important for any tech question, more so when involving driveline.

How about the front drive shaft CV????? Loose, sloppy, worn out? Your symptom is not a typical one, but they can make noise when calling out for attention.

Agree with Doc. When my front CV went out, it sounded a bit like marbles in a coffee can - fast repetitive. Maybe that would sound like a bike chain in reverse.

I was also going to say front axle CV's

Front driveshaft CV or loose splines. Bad u-joint??
Rear driveshaft loose front splines and loose output bushing (mine needed replacement). Or loose rear u-joint.
Loose diff yokes? or Loose pinion bearing.
Loose rear bearings

Real common on these H3s are loose CV on the driver's side F. (worn bearings or intermediate shaft). Or front driveshaft CV's go. Esp if it was replaced with a cheap aftermarket one (which is what comes up when ya do a search).

All that stuff is real easy to check...
